With an opening scheduled for July, the much-anticipated facility will serve as a vital hub for community engagement and provide essential services and a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for people in need.
The opening of the Coast Shelter Wyong Community Centre marks a significant milestone in the organisation’s ongoing commitment to addressing the needs of vulnerable individuals and families on the Central Coast.
Located in the centre of Wyong, the new Community Centre will offer a range of services including hot meals, emergency accommodation and transitional housing assistance, social work support, domestic violence support and counselling, mental health and drug and alcohol counselling, and life skills training and workshops.
Coast Shelter CEO, Michael Starr, expressed his enthusiasm for the new Community Centre, stating, “We are thrilled to be opening the doors of our new facility in Wyong. This Community Centre represents a significant step forward in our mission to provide comprehensive support and resources to those in need and will serve as a much-needed hub on the Northern end of our Central Coast community.”
