Coast Shelter is proud to announce the appointment of Alicia Pigot as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Alicia brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in social services, child and family welfare, and community development. She has held senior roles with Life Without Barriers, the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, The Benevolent Society, and CatholicCare, where she led reform and innovation to improve outcomes for children, families, and communities across New South Wales.

Having grown up, raised a family, and built her career on the Central Coast, Alicia has a deep personal and professional connection to the region. She understands its strengths, diversity, and the challenges faced by many local families; and as the incoming CEO of Coast Shelter, Alicia is proud to lead the organisation in standing alongside people in need. 

Under Alicia’s leadership, Coast Shelter will continue to advance its strategic priorities:

• Elevating care and advocacy for vulnerable individuals and families
• Strengthening strategic connections with partners and communities
• Empowering our workforce to lead with purpose and compassion
• Embedding efficiency and sustainability across our operations
• Enabling strategic oversight to ensure long-term impact and accountability

Alicia Pigot said, “It’s an honour to lead Coast Shelter and to serve the community I’ve called home for so many years. I’m passionate about seeing the Central Coast thrive, working in partnership with local organisations, supporting grassroots initiatives, and advocating for the wellbeing and inclusion of all who call the Coast home.”
