2 days/per week would be ideal, however, we are flexible for the right candidate.

We work 9am – 5pm, however there is room for flexibility for the right candidate. There will be some out of hours work on an event night.

About the Organisation

Coast Shelter is the leading not for profit and charity on the NSW Central Coast, providing specialist homelessness services and personal support programs. We assist people experiencing homelessness and domestic and family violence. Our aim is to break the cycle of poverty and intergenerational despair and disadvantage. 

Role Functions

• Support the Marketing and Communications team, primarily in our major fundraising event for the year: the annual Coast Shelter Sleepout (25th August 2023)
• Help with any marketing and events related tasks e.g. support in disseminating information, posters and flyers, liaising with key stakeholders, researching and booking vendors etc
• Support promotional activities and help spread the Sleepout campaign far and wide!

Selection Criteria

• Must have background in/or studying marketing, comms and/or events management or relevant experience in organising and executing events
• Interested in learning about the NGO sector and how a marketing role fits within that environment
• Must be confident with written, digital and verbal communication, great with time management, can think creatively and problem solve, and willing to get their hands dirty!
• Will need a valid NSW driver’s licence, a Covid 19 Certificate, a Working with Children Check, and a National Criminal Record Check
