The Century Challenge is the only charity ride on the New South Wales Central Coast - located neatly between Sydney and Newcastle. The cycle routes take riders through some of the scenic hinterland of the Central Coast, with a few hilly challenges along the way.
There are three rides - 100km for experienced riders, 50km for those seeking to build up their cycling capacity, and a 20km ride for families and social riders. There is also a Kids Challenge in the grounds of Mt Penang Parklands.
There are food and drink stops on all rides, road marshals, sweep vehicles and pick ups. Local cycle shops offer pre-ride checks of your cycle. A sausage sizzle is included at the finish line. Car parking is close by, and the ride starts and finishes at the same place - Mt Penang Parklands, Kariong.

On the June long weekend, a group of Coast Shelter supporters are walking from Umina to Newcastle Beach ... approximately a 100km trek along the coastline.
We are walking because we love a challenge and also to raise money for Coast Shelter's Coimba Men's Refuge on the Central Coast. Coast Shelter helps accommodate and support those who're experiencing homelessness, are at risk of homelessness and escaping domestic and family violence.
